LiTeZ :: Tout vient de là :: Rizosfera-NUKFM 022 :: Release date 03.June.2024
Aldo Chimenti (Rockerilla) : “The debut album by LiTeZ is a stunning, surprising, spectacular record. It brings out a creative vein of TeZ that I was not aware of. Li’s voice is simply magnetic and sensual. Truly remarkable.”
Paolo Bertoni (Blow Up):
“(…) We remain within the Clock DVA realm, noting, not without surprise, another project, LiTeZ, involving the tireless TeZ paired with Li Alin, a multimedia Canadian artist and creator of an excellent album, All In (’06), released on the Asphodel label with contributions from Naut Humon of Rhythm & Noise (BU#283).
The opening of Tout vient de là is formidable, with the enveloping cryptic Gibsonian electro of Amnésie blending seamlessly with Li’s warm, deep voice, naturally delivered in an enchanting French. This sets the tone for a collection that, after following up immediately with the similarly seductive Rapproche, takes an abrupt turn. Following the neutral ground represented by the insinuating Ode, which is supported by captivating rhythms for immediacy, the album delves into darkness.
Immense is wrapped in an ethereal 4AD-like shroud, with psychedelic refractions, while Corps presents a murky atmosphere pierced by Alin’s whispers and punctuated by concrete fragments. The ballad Catacombes showcases her voice becoming even more persuasively captivating, only to turn malevolent in the final moments of Transfert. Rating: 7.7″
Marco Paolucci (Kathodik) : “New release for Rizosfera_NUKFM, this album by LiTeZ, the duo consisting of Franco-Canadian singer Li Alin (V.DREAM) and multi-instrumentalist TeZ Maurizio Martinucci (Clock DVA). The album features tracks that pleasantly navigate the vast expanse of well-conceived and meticulously crafted electronic music. From the electro-punk echoes of the opening track Amnésie, a gateway for the listener into liquefied sonic worlds, to the dark pop fragments of Rapproche, the icy atmospheric recitations of Immense, the sensual dub of Catacombes, and the ominous “danger punk” scenarios of Entre, culminating in Jungle, an exploration of a vibrant alien world with a cyberpunk twist. Recommended. Rating: 8/10″
