Maurizio Martinucci (aka TeZ) is an Italian musician and interdisciplinary artist, living and working in Amsterdam, who has collaborated with, amongst others, Adi Newton, Scanner, Kim Cascone, Saverio Evangelista, Taylor Deupree, Fabio Orsi, Sonia Cillari, Chris Salter, Honor Harger, Luca Spagnoletti, Joe Drive and Domenico Sciajno. He uses technology as a means to explore perceptual and synesthetic relationships between sound, light and space. TeZ is a veteran of electronic and experimental music and his early releases with M.S.B. and DOSERO date back to the early 90’s. Since 2010 TeZ has been a permanent member of Adi Newton’s seminal British band Clock DVA and a regular contributor with The AntiGroup. His most recent music project PRAGMA marks TeZ’s return to his origins in the fringes of a more visceral Industrial, Ambient and Cosmic music. TeZ’s solo live electronic performances, augmented by Ambisonics spatial sound, are voyages in uncharted sonic territories through field recordings, hypnotic analog sequences and electro-acoustic manipulations. His last sonic works with Rizosfera is Clock DVA’s Noesis, released in 2023, in a splendid poly-media guise (box with usb circle card, cd, vinyl, booklet, t shirt).
