NicoNote is a Voice. A universe.
Art project created in 1996 by Nicoletta Magalotti (1962) Italian-Austrian based in Fellinian Rimini:
NicoNote is a singer, author, composer, performer. Transversal Artist, she works in multiple territories linked to theater, music, installations and clubbing. She has toured music and theater in Italy and throughout Europe, Canada, Argentina, Brazil. In the 80s it was the voice of the band Violet Eves, of the Italian new wave with the independent label IRA records of Florence, together with Litfiba, Diaframma, Moda, Underground Life. In the 90s, together with the dj David Love Calò curated a space/ installation (inside the roaring disco Cocoricò) the Morphine. In her peculiar transversal artistic journey she has been directed several times by directors like Romeo Castellucci and Francesco Micheli, Maurizio Fiume, Patricia Allio, Fabrizio Arcuri and others; she released a peculiar discography since 1985 till today, and collaborated with many musicians from different cultural fields from Patrizio Fariselli (Area) to Mauro Pagani, from House producers Mas Collective to Teresa De Sio, from Dj Rocca to Roberto Bartoli jazz research, from White Raven’ electronics to Enrico Gabrielli (Calibro 35, PJHarvey), from Luca Bergia (Marlene Kuntz) and Davide Arneodo (Perdurabo, Marlene Kuntz) to the Austrian pianist improvisator Elisabeth Harnik and others. The last three albums are: ALPHABE DREAM (Cinedelic 2013) produced with french composer Mikael Plunian, the recent EMOTIONAL CABARET (DocLive 2017) produced together with Dani Marzi and Alfredo Nuti Dal Portone, and one (Deja V., 2018) entirely dedicated to reinterpretations of the Violet Eves, produced by Tony Canto, entitled DEJA
