Tutte le mani del Maffia in Modena — Orto Sonoro Festival, Friday 24 July
On Friday 24 July, Tutte le mani del Maffia comes to Modena, at the Giardini Ducali, as part of Orto Sonoro Festival. Dancing, watching and listening, free entry, from 9.30pm.
The evening unfolds in three movements. Listening: the presentation of the book Tutte le mani del Maffia (NUKFM027, Rizosfera 2026), the volume curated by the Maffia collective which, across more than 300 pages, reconstructs the atmosphere and trajectory of the Maffia Illicit Music Club of Reggio Emilia between the Nineties and the Noughties, through graphic materials, photographs and first-hand accounts. Watching: the screening of the short film Maffia, an Illicit short film. And dancing: the dj set by DJ Rocca, a leading figure of that musical season, closing the night beneath the centuries-old trees of the park.
After Parma, Carpi and Rimini, the book’s journey through Emilia now reaches Modena, in a setting — Orto Sonoro Festival, 20 to 26 July at the Giardini Ducali with the support of the Municipality of Modena — that brings together music, word and vision: precisely the blend that made the Maffia a unique place in the geography of Italian clubs.
