MACCHINE SENSIBILI – THREE NEW THEORY OF MACHINE MEETINGS AT CHIOSTRI DELLA GHIARA, REGGIO EMILIA

MACCHINE SENSIBILI is a series of meetings curated by Federico Montanari, lecturer at the DCE (Dept. of Communication and Economics) of the University of Reggio Emilia and Modena, sponsored by Unimore, Spazio 49, Rizosfera and Chiostri della Ghiara, in which three evenings of thematic meetings and in-depth studies on current topics are ‘machined’ at the Chiostri della Ghiara in Reggio Emilia, on a weekly basis, starting on 5 July and ending on 19 July 2023.

THE WAR MACHINE The first meeting, Wednesday 5 July 2023, 7 p.m. Meeting on war, media and communication starting from the Ukrainian conflict, with the presentation of the book “Dizionario mediologico della guerra in Ucraina” (Media Dictionary of the War in Ukraine) with GIOVANNI BOCCIA ARTIERI sociologist, full professor at Uniurb and MANOLO FARCI sociologist, professor at Uniurb and co-editor of the book. THE FOOD MACHINE The second meeting, Wednesday 12 July 2023, 7 p.m. Narrative and the forms of gastronomic discourse with the presentation of the book “Gustoso e saporito” (Tasty and tasty), with the participation of the author GIANFRANCO MARRONE, essayist and writer, full professor of Semiotics, University of Palermo. THE REBEL MACHINE. A hiccup in the gear of the 1980s. The third meeting, Wednesday 19 July 2023, h 7.00 p.m. Discussion and in-depth analysis on Bolognese anarchist punk in the 1980s between the crisis of political commitment and new lifestyles with LAURA CARROLI author of the book “Slaves in the freest city in the world”. Introduced by FEDERICO MONTANARI (Unimore) with the participation of ALESSIA MASINI, researcher. Discussant GIOVANNI CATELLANI, author of “Philosophy of the Sex Pistols”.
