GOD MODE (ep. 1) is an interactive single-channel installation by artist duo dmstfctn, exploring the use of simulation in machine learning. The installation consists of a 30-minute simulation running in real-time on a game engine, previously performed as an audiovisual show, and for first time installed at Semibreve festival 2023 as a standalone interactive installation. dmstfcn are the winner of the Enigma Semibreve Award 2023.

dmstfcn is a London-based artist duo working with audiovisual performance, games and video installation. Their work investigates complex systems, most recently focusing on the relationship between simulation, machine learning and AI folklore. Since 2018, dmstfctn has performed and exhibited work in venues such as Berghain and Onassis, and at festivals such as Unsound, CTM or transmediale.
