CHAOS VARIATION VII OUT NEXT JULY :: ZAFER ARACAGÖK / SIFIR AND OBSOLETE CAPITALISM :: ALBUM FOR RIZOSFERA :: 4 TRACKS VINYL (THIRTY MINUTES OF MUSIC) AND 16-PAGES COLOUR BOOKLET
Zafer Aracagök is a philosopher and a de/composer from Istanbul who produces affective cerebral, aural and visual concepts which find their point of departure in the works of Deleuze and Guattari with an interest to re- think the force of the negative in the philosophers’ work so as to fabulate new strategies in face of the ontologis- ing, affirmationist and accelerationist tendencies in contemporary philosophy and art. Concentrating on expe- rientiality rather than experimentality, his sound works move towards a becoming-all-ears with no tympanum to welcome the coming into being of the -dividual.
While his books and articles on the issues of sound, noise, sexuality, non-conceptuality, rhythm and politics were published almost all across the world such as China, Turkey, Italy, France, UK, Germany, USA, Mexico and Argentina, his sound works under the name of SIFIR have been released and performed in UK, France, Turkey, Germany and Italy. He is currently based in University of Kent, Canterbury (SEE HIS PETITION AT CHANGE.ORG), working on his new book on rhythm and politics.
