INVITATION TO READING: Nice review of COAGULANT ‘Spatial Emission Places’ (Rizosphere-NUKFM) edited by Marco Paolucci for the webzine Kathodik:
“New release of the experimental project Coagulant, under which the sound researcher Fabio Kubic is mentioned, which is coming out for the well-deserved Rizosphere NUKFM, and presents itself as a job very interesting. We learn from the notes that Coagulant with this ‘Spatial Emission Places’ continues its research on the concept of spatial space, through recording two special sound environments: the Great Salt Lake and the Boneville Salt Flats, located in Utah, in the United States. Places chosen by the scholar for their particular acoustic conformity, resulting from atmospheric interactions throughout their history. Through the use of geophones and ambient microphones, Coagulant listens to these places that tell their fascinating story, through “environmental” melodies that capture the listener’s attention, and induce them to listen to every particular change in the “sound narrative” that is being unveiled. Because besides the ear, the eye also wants its part, the project is expanding with beautiful photos of multimedia artist E. Gabriel Edvy from Clock DVA, stopping the beauty of these places in time. 8/10).
