An excellent review (yet another one!) of Luca Di Mira’s album Steps, curated by Antonio Briozzo, has been published in the January 2025 issue of the music magazine Rumore. A must-read!
RUMORE’S REVIEW
LUCA DI MIRA
STEPS
RIZOSFERA
80/100**
Simultaneously with the (recently announced) sunset of *Giardini Di Mirò*, comes *Steps*, the third album from their now former keyboardist Luca Di Mira, known to the chronicles as Pillow with *Flowing Seasons* (2006) and *From Dusk To Dawn* (2012). Here too, there is no departure from the introspective mood previously explored, confirming a stylistic signature, always teetering between tension and introspection, rich in twilight electroacoustic structures and dreamy soundscapes imbued with a deep melancholy. *Steps* is an album to let slide onto the player, allowing the tracks to materialise in the first part and then slowly evaporate in the second. The packaging, in the classic Rizosfera style, is sumptuous – a vinyl format containing instead a CD placed on the last page of a 12-page Twill paper booklet.
