The Modena Music Center presents the results of the recently concluded artistic residency on Saturday, January 18, 2025. The protagonists of the evening are Alessio Vanni (sound design), Leonardo Pini (guitar), Gabriele Genta (percussion), and Giovanni Fiorani (sound design). The project was curated by sound designer Giuseppe Cordaro, alongside sound artist Valerio Cosi, with guest artists Loredana Antonelli (visuals) and Ginevra Nervi (music and electronics). During the residency, the artists developed a sonic dialogue inspired by water. Water, as both a symbol and a sound, serves as both inspiration and instrument for the music. Glasses, hydrophones, and other aquatic sources enrich the sonic experimentation, paving the way for new musical worlds. “Acquatico” is part of the Sonitus Project, in collaboration with Rizosfera, within the activities of Modena UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts.
