RIZOSFERA ANNOUNCES THE FIRST PRODUCTION OF THE NEW POLYMEDIA LAB ‘RIZOSFERA TRANSMEDIA’ WITH THE RELEASE OF THE WORK ODRZ 82. CATALOG NUMBER RT001, PART OF THE ‘TRANSMEDIA HACKATHON’ SERIES. RELEASE DATE SET FOR MARCH 15, 2025.
The new transmedia lab of Rizosfera is now operational thanks to the visionary and conceptual work of Professor Domenico Morreale, who leads the Transmedia studies course at Politecnico di Torino (Department of Cinema and Media Engineering). From the collaboration between Rizosfera—a philosophical artistic-audiovisual lab active in hybrid media—and the Transmedia course, the idea emerged to create an evolutionary process that takes shape, time after time, through the release of polymedia works ‘engineered’ during the Transmedia Hackathons. These hackathons are launched annually by Professor Domenico Morreale for his students and are developed in collaboration with Rizosfera in the classrooms of Politecnico di Torino
The first Transmedia Hackathon in 2023 featured Osvaldo Schwartz, celebrating the 40th anniversary of Officine Schwartz. This shared vision resulted in the stunning Industrial Blues by Osvaldo Schwartz for Rizosfera-NUKFM. The second Transmedia Hackathon in 2024 saw the participation of the industrial noise group ODRZ. From the collaboration of all parties emerged the work we present to you: ODRZ 82, which also marks the highly anticipated debut of the Rizosfera Transmedia project, with Professor Domenico Morreale as its artistic director.
