Could bringing punk to university be a mysterious way to get closer to the truth? With Gabriele Fantuzzi of Delicatessen Design, Davoli Paolo of Rizosfera, and Federico Montanari, lecturer in Visuals and Media Studies and Socio-semiology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia / UNIMORE, we begin a collaboration – which Rizosfera considers absolutely prestigious – that will traverse life conducts and the enunciation of truth, antagonistic relations towards knowledge and powers, styles of resistance and urban dissidences. All these dimensions of modern subjectivities will be filtered through the figures of visionary graphic designers and the essential and haughty media communication techniques of punk. Because at the heart of the anarchic and rebellious heart of punk is a ‘resistant’ project of visibility and insolence that is not only musical but also technical-visual-communicative.

The talk/seminar appointments will be (Via Allegri n.6, Reggio Emilia): Wed. 19 April H. 14.00 and Wed. 3 May H. 16.00 – the latter appointment will also see the participation of Giovanni Catellani, who will present the book ‘Filosofia dei Sex Pistols’ (Mimesis, 2019).
