On 3 October 2021 Spazio Gerra / Giardiniera and Rizosfera invite you to Post Clubbing: five hours of live streaming on the rapidly changing world of electronic music, clubbing and its fringe cultures. Are we at the death of club culture, as Valerio Mattioli (Editor of Not Editions) says, or are we at its hybridisation with the world of art, museums and contemporary art galleries, as Berghain and DMSTFCTN suggest from Berlin? Or will poetry save the sonic crossing from the world of dance floors to post-clubbing, as NicoNote, Wang inc. and Pierfrancesco Pacoda think? Will Kodwo Eshun and Claudia Attimonelli’s afrofuturism or Claudio Kulesko’s unconditional acceleration win the game of fantasonic gestures? The conceptual challenge will be sealed by musicians and vinyl selectors such as Marco Febbraro, DJ Rocca, Mina Amiri, Bartolomeo Sailer and Nicoletta Magalotti. At the end of digital spectrum, Giovanni Catellani will read one of his poetic-conceptual texts on the importance of “swimming in the air” and the necessity of dance as an immanent practice.
