THE MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN FOR THE ARCI RIZOSFERA ORGANIZATION STARTED ON 1 OCTOBER 2022 (YEAR 2022-2023)
The new membership campaign of the Arci – a national organisation to which the non-profit cultural association Rizosfera adheres- for membership 2022-2023, A Desire for Multitude, kicked off on 1st October 2022.
A particularly important and significant campaign, just a few days after the political elections that saw the victory of the right, not unexpected but burning and worrying.
At this historic moment we feel above all the duty, as a cultural and social network spread throughout the country, to continue building and practising a credible popular participation project for a real alternative society, first of all defending the rights of those who are worse off, those who do not make ends meet and those who are forced to use a measure to combat poverty such as citizenship income to survive.
Starting with the membership campaign A desire for multitude, to enlarge, today more than ever, the community of Arci, a plural and inclusive reality, among the largest social and cultural organisations in the country with a long and extraordinary history.
A network to which some 4,000 associations and clubs throughout Italy and more than one million members adhere.
A desire of multitude to spread civic participation and promote new associationism, to defend our roots in the territory and our many proximity activities, which are fundamental to strengthen cohesion and social justice, under the banner of solidarity and mutualism, the fight against inequality, discrimination, educational and cultural poverty, racism, hatred and violence.
A desire for multitude to consolidate indispensable spaces of widespread sociality, where culture and relationships between people contribute to the well-being of individuals and the community, without which we would all be poorer. To continue to help those affected by the scourge of loneliness which, after the lockdown, has become even heavier in total silence.
A desire of multitude to even more strongly defend women’s rights and freedoms and gender from a retrograde and conservative idea that produces discrimination and suffering.
A desire of multitude in order not to surrender to the present: we have precious goods to defend such as democracy, participation and access to sociality for citizens.
