Since 2002, she has worked as an independent artist and currently lives and works in Berlin.\r\n\r\nIn her paintings, reality becomes distorted and recomposes itself into scenes suspended between the absurd and the mystical, where the sacred and the grotesque intersect, creating a visual and emotional short-circuit. Metamorphic bodies inhabit undefined spaces, where attraction and repulsion coexist, giving rise to images that seem to emerge from surreal anatomical treatises. Classical elements, fragmented and reworked into new configurations, lose their original familiarity, taking on the aesthetic of a disfigured Renaissance.\r\n\r\nValentina Bardazzi's preferred themes and concepts are the body and geometry, seen as representations of nature and the divine. These concepts often take center stage in her work. The body, viewed as a connection between perfection and imperfection, is linked to consciousness and spirituality; it represents the alchemical process of transforming human consciousness. Geometry in her paintings symbolizes unconditional love, otherworldly power, and objectivity that approaches truth. It reflects the immaterial world of enlightenment that structures the image and essence of all natural forms in the universe, particularly the spiral and the golden ratio.\r\n\r\nHer painting technique is experimental, employing methods ranging from pencil drawings on paper glued to canvas to acrylic painting on canvas or wood. Her color palette spans from colored pencils to markers, mixed with organic substances like coffee, which impart warmer and more natural tones. She also uses ink from colored ballpoint pens, which is then dissolved with solvents, giving the work a sense of corrosion and wear over time. Her approach is a nomadic journey that moves between elements of classical drawing in contrast with the experimentation of various chromatic techniques.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nSolo Exhibitions\r\n\r\n2024 \u201cDer Gro\u00dfe Mittag\u201d, The Ballery Gallery, Berlin\r\n\r\n2022 \" Prima Colazione\", Urban Spree Gallery, Berlin\r\n\r\n2017 \"Bardazwischen\", Projektraum Ventilator, Berlin\r\n\r\n2015 \"Parallel Sensation\", The Ballery Gallery, Berlin\r\n\r\n2012 \"Real Dreams\", MilkandLead Gallery, London\r\n\r\n2011 \"Natura Obscura\", Aka Gallery, Berlin\r\n\r\n2011 \"Mio Son Tuo\", Zero art e.V., Stuttgart\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nGroup Exhibitions\r\n\r\n2024 \u201cArtlab 25 artists\u201d, Benjamin Eck Gallery, Munich\r\n\r\n2018 \"Trans 01\", Fantom Art, Mexico City\r\n\r\n2017 \"Art & Environment\" (charity event for Green Peace), Fellini Gallery, Berlin\r\n\r\n2017 \"50 Contemporary Artist \/ the Enter Art collection, E A F, Berlin\r\n\r\n2017 \"Liberating the Female Spirit\", Fellini Gallery, Berlin\r\n\r\n2016 \"E A F Pop up Exhibition\" Messeturm, Basel\r\n\r\n2010 \"Amsterdam Art Fair\", Morren Gallery, Amsterdam\r\n\r\n2009 \"25 P \", Niagara, New York\r\n\r\n2009 \"Tease Art Fair 03\", Koln","featured_image":217877,"image_gallery":"","links":[{"url":"https:\/\/undogmatisch.bandcamp.com\/"}],"in_evidenza":false,"role_description":"","short_bio":""},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/rizosfera.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/artist\/217876"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/rizosfera.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/artist"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/rizosfera.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/artist"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/rizosfera.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/217877"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/rizosfera.org\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=217876"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
